Getting Loud for a Great Cause

Children around the world are exploited as slaves in many forms. Operation Underground Railroad exists to execute rescue missions to free children, then provide necessary rehabilitation to help them heal and help train leadership and law enforcement to detect, investigate and arrest perpetrators. I believe every child deserves a regular childhood where they spill milk, complain about their brother and sister breathing their air, refuse to eat what’s for dinner. And lay on the grass to look up at the clouds and dream, send a picture to grandma and grandpa and get tucked into bed by someone who loves them. And maybe one day become a foreign exchange student! That’s why we are rising up for children and getting loud!  2020 has hit us all in hard ways. Child abuse cases are millions higher this year than last. Here are three things we can do to help raise awareness, protect children and rescue them.

1. Educate yourself on the fastest growing criminal enterprise in the world and share your support for ending it on social media with the hashtag #getloud.

2. If you have, or care for children, know what’s going on, what are they doing, who they are they talking to. Have ongoing open conversations. Pedophiles pose as friends on popular gaming sites and common social media. They carefully groom children to get them to do what they want them to, and are succeeding.

3. Donate to organizations like OUR with a one time or recurring abolitionist donation, buy their gear and participate in fundraising events or create your own. I’ve got 3 friends who are doing just that. Bryson is a realtor, donating money to OUR for each clients home sale in 2020. Trista is a Mother and orchestra conductor who organized Our Phoenix Rescue Run, a 5K in person or virtual run in December, this is their fifth year! Rebecca is an established author and is part of Authors for Freedom and today they are donating all the profits from the sales of their books to OUR, you can find her books on Audible, Amazon. Man, I’ve got cool friends! :)

We can do something to help end this plauge. We can help stop the plague! Innocent children deserve better than this! Humankind deserves better than this.
